Highlights FY2026: The Doors We Opened Together
At the end of each fiscal year in June, we take a moment to look back and share what our community made possible for the neighbors who turned to Open Doors for help and the programs that were there to meet them. This year's numbers tell an important story of their own. Here is what they mean.
Homeless Prevention
For some, it started with a visit to our Economic Opportunity Hub, where they sat down with our team, created a plan, and worked toward employment, increased income, and greater financial stability.
For others, support met a more immediate need: essential items from the Community Closet, a hot meal when they needed one, or groceries when there simply was not enough room in the budget that week.
Each service meets a different need, but they all work toward the same goal: helping people remain stable and avoid homelessness.
Homeless Services
For others, this past year meant taking steps toward permanent housing. For people living on the street, our outreach team met them where they were, responding to immediate needs and building connections to the resources that could help them move out of homelessness.
Sometimes, the next step was Shelter: a safe place to stay while working with a caseworker toward permanent housing.
Along the way, The Social gave guests a place to learn, build skills, and connect with others. For children staying in Shelter, the Children's Resource Center offered a place to do homework, play, and simply be kids while their families worked toward a more stable future.
Housing Stability
For others, this past year meant finally having a place to call home and the chance to stop moving. Through our affordable and deeply affordable housing, individuals and families were able to settle into stable homes of their own and begin looking ahead.
At the heart of all of this is a simple goal: helping people find stability and move forward.
